Pinker Than Shepherd's Delight

18 April 2015

Hello, again, internet! Long time no chat, no? I wish I had a better excuse than "I've been busy", but being a full-time student and throwing myself into my work completely has left little room for keeping up with the blog, and for that, I sincerely apologise. I almost feel like an entirely different person since my last true outfit post in January...look how much longer my hair is alone! I can definitely say that this is the busiest I've probably ever been in my life, mostly due to the fact that I'm currently in a musical! Yes, my school is doing a production of Hair that opens this coming Thursday! If anyone is in the San Francisco Bay Area and loves musicals, click on the link to see when to come and see the show! We've been working very hard and are extremely proud of our performances and would love all the support we can get!

Alright, enough with the shameless self-plug and onto the fashion talk. Lately, I've been feeling sort of bored with my wardrobe, despite it being quite extensive. Part of me wants to get rid of everything and start fresh and live more simply, but the other part of me loves being the girl with all the clothes. What I've been trying to do lately is take old pieces that I have and try and style them in ways I wouldn't think of before. The moment I laid eyes on this 1950s print top from Forever 21 years back, I knew I needed it in my wardrobe. However, every time I came across it, I couldn't picture any other way to style it aside from being paired with my black disco pants from American Apparel. Refusing to let it go to waste, I've reconsidered the styling possibilities and was very pleased with the results. Long story short, I'm enjoying creating new looks with old pieces. This summer I'll be selling clothes that I no longer need or want in an online store, so be on the lookout for that soon!

So far, 2015 has been very kind for me. I've been feeling much happier, healthier, and motivated. I also find myself braver than I was before, pushing myself to go out of my comfort zone as well as make right choices no matter how difficult they it be. It's been a long road for me to reach an overall feeling of "content" in my life, but I am finally starting to see improvements and I couldn't be more excited for what the future holds. I also can't wait to share my experiences with you.

I hope everyone is having a lovely spring. Take time this week to go outside and breathe in the fresh air! Let me know in the comments what your favourite part of spring is, or your go-to spring look.

Stay sweet ♡
